My Vivienne Westwood bargain

I found this bargain at a shop in Ladbroke Grove. It's a great Vivienne Westwood piece that was discounted due to a barely noticeable problem with the hem. Thank goodness my friend Gail who is a seamstress managed to take care of it. Looking forward to wearing it to the concert weekend after next. Now I hope I can find some black gladiators heels or boots to go with it.

Classic and simple for a Friday
Shopping online is the best and especially when you don't have time to make it to the shops. This dress by Sutton Studio Bloomingdale's is very comfortable and I love the classic style of the cut with the slight cowl neckline. It looks great with black open toe pumps. This is a cute dress in the claret and chocolate but I stuck with my favourite safe colour black.

Herve Leger bandage dresses
A little shopping spree.............
Yesterday I went to Burberry's, found some great deals. Love my new scarf and even picked up a nice necktie for brother. Also did some shopping and NEXT and found a cool black dress for a fiver. Found some even greater deals at Chilli Pepper; a dress and three blouses for £20!

Fascinators
Kate Landry beaded Hippychick handbag
I love this bag and think it's really cool. It's so daring and different. Thinking of getting one for myself.

Silver sequin dress
I am watching Graham Norton and he is interviewing Patsy Kensit. She looks gorgeous in a sleeveless silver sequin dress. Looks vintage. I would love one in gold or a very soft metallic pink.

Fashionista choice of the week
Well I owe the honour of posting my first fashionista choice of the week to my very own First Lady Mrs. Michelle Obama. Always looking gorgeous in bright colours Mrs. Obama has a great sense of style and elegance. Whether she is wearing the latest high fashion or JCrew one thing is certainly for sure--she will look great. I am glad she is beginning to improve after that red and black sheath disaster on election night.
Mrs. Obama looked quite radiant stepping off Air Force lastnight in a bright yellow acid dress by Thykoon. Even more refreshing were photos today of the first lady in a creme embellished cardigan and green gingham skirt by JCrew. Who cares about the photo of the "magic pants". I think we all need a little magic from time to time.
New York Times, Nicole Phelps
“Since he launched his label three years ago, it's seemed as if Jason Wu has been auditioning to replace Oscar de la Renta or Carolina Herrera. He certainly has the immaculate Park Avenue thing down cold, should either of the legends decide to step down. But for Spring, inspired by a trip to Japan, where his business has been growing like gangbusters, Wu added an element of quirky whimsy that should broaden his appeal beyond the young ladies-who-lunch set. It came through in the form of a fuchsia cashmere T-shirt worn with an embroidered, dotted micro-pleat skirt, and again in the mix-and-match neons of a cardigan, a bow-front blouse, and a full A-line skirt. Not that the designer skimped on the ladylike numbers upon which he's built his socialite client base—French knot embroideries and Swarovski crystals decorated a white silk faille coat and a creamy organza dress, both of which erred on the prim side of polished. For the money, a fits-like-a-glove black-on-white floral tapestry sheath was a standout. The evening gowns in jewel-tone chiffon that closed the show successfully walked the line between Wu's two worlds. You could imagine an Olivia Chantecaille, who sat in his front row, wearing the emerald green dress with diamonds and heels, but the right downtown girl could also pull it off with flat sandals, a stack of gold bangles on both wrists, and a tan.”
